Wienker GmbH was founded in 1969 by Heinz Wienker, who came up with the idea of manufacturing thermostats, designed his first tool and put the first automatic punching press into operation.

The product range and customer base quickly expanded, and in 1975 the company moved to the Münster Hiltrup industrial estate with around 20 employees.

In 1985, Karl-Heinz Göbel and his son Stefan Göbel acquired Wienker GmbH. Since then, the growth and modernization strategy has been consistently developed further. Over the years, the company's premises were consequently limited and exhausted.

In 2005, under the management of Stefan Göbel, the company moved to the new Münster Loddenheide industrial estate.
